Epididymitis/ Orchitis

About three years ago, I had a very bad epididymitis infection which cleared up. But three years later, I still have scar tissue, have significantly lost my sex drive, and don't have full or pleasurable ejaculations anymore. I have been told by my urologist that it would take time but this seems ridiculous. Does anybody know if anything can be done to correct this problem?

I have the same problems as you do, but I also suffer from periodic bouts of sometimes severe pain from the area around the epididymis where I had the infection. It's so bad sometimes that I can't walk or think properly. Over the counter meds do nothing, and my doc says I may have this problem forever. I know that removing the testicle would probably solve the problem, but am concerned about other complications. I would have no problem having this done if it would help. Does anybody know more about the consequences of this procedure?

Wow, it is nice to know that I'm not alone! Yeah I do have periods of pain and discomfort walking that make things uncomfortable. I just find it so hard to believe that in this era of amazing medical procedures that there is nothing that can be done.
